01The house
A compact site,
worked hard.
Iqbal Residence, Pondicherry — a 1,408 sq.ft. minimal contemporary home thoughtfully crafted on a compact 4.82-cent site.
Clean lines, muted palettes, and well-balanced volumes define its modern aesthetic, while open terraces, strategic shading, and curated greens create a calm, elegant living environment perfectly suited to its coastal context.
On a plot this tight the section matters as much as the plan. The terraces stack rather than spread, the pergola shades the upper level without closing it, and the planting is placed where it will be seen from inside rather than only from the street.
Clean lines, muted palettes and well-balanced volumes.
